In preparation for the workshop at the Lower Eastside Girls Club (which we're toying with calling "A Bright Dark Room"), I've been reviewing these shots from a workshop entitled "Stop/Motion", held in 2010 at A Curious Summer, a summer camp I helped to found and run in San Francisco.
We created a sort of camera obscura jubilee, rolling through the neighborhood with an obscura cart as well as dozens of little handheld models, setting up an impromptu exhibition in the park, and dropping in on the Boys & Girls club.
